Data Day

Azure Data Platforms

Event space provided by Connected Services BC

This Data Day is an IN PERSON structured, full-day upskilling experience designed to build real fluency in modern data architecture, from foundational concepts like the medallion architecture and the lakehouse paradigm, to practical realities of working with Microsoft Fabric's OneLake and Databricks in production environments. Expect an interactive and deliberate progression from architectural principles to practical, in-the-weeds guidance.

Because you asked…

  • Data Day is built for data leaders, engineers, architects, and analysts who want to build real fluency in modern data platforms — specifically Microsoft Fabric, OneLake and Databricks. If you work with data and want practical, in-the-weeds guidance (not marketing slides), this is for you.

  • Near Uptown - 4000 Seymour Place, hosted by Connected Services BC.

  • Yes — registration is required for the security desk, even if you work in the public service.

  • Public sector employees, including crown corporations and health authorities, attend at no charge.

  • Become a VDS member and receive a $100 discount code. Email [email protected] to get your code.

  • That’s the idea! Our goal is for Data Day to be the start of an ongoing community of practice in Victoria for Microsoft Fabric and Databricks users.
